I went this afternoon to get my vitamin B12 shot. The nurse who normally gives me the shot was out of the office, so Frau Farbissina shot me up in her place. She went full-on Psycho and stabbed me in the upper left arm, right in the muscle. Today marked my third injection and I have seen signs of improvement since I began the supplements, but as I was driving home from the doctor's office today, I fainted. Fortunately, when I got that flush feeling, I knew something bad was about to happen and I was able to get off the road before I lost consciousness. I don't know if it was a reaction to the shot or just a chance occurrence; whatever the reason, I didn't like it. I've had spells where I'll black out from time to time, but it's never happened while driving. Usually it's low blood sugar or overheating myself that causes me to faint, but that wasn't the case today. [Yep, I was that slinky blonde on the floor at The Echo Lounge during the Chameleons show and in the cubby at the Masquerade during The Cramps show; thanks to good friends for rescuing a damsel in distress--besides, who can blame me? Lux can overheat any girl].

I was a good girl today; I ate a nice lunch and kept myself hydrated. I'm guessing it had to be some weird reaction to the shot. I've felt woozy ever since and I've got a wicked case of tunnel vision that hits me hard every little bit. Maybe I can sleep it off tonight...

Ah, my hero and rescuer of damsels in distress. :-) You know the funny thing is the needle is so tiny that typically I don't even feel it (when it's administered properly).
