missautopsyI tried very hard to make it through the movie. I love George Romero dearly but damn it if I don't have standards for my zombie movies.
Not since 28 Days Later have I seen a really effective zombie movie. (Remind me if anything ingenious came out that I'm neglecting). I could watch the original Dawn of the Dead (as well as the re-imagining) over and over again. Day of the Dead was decent enough but it was obvious to me then that Romero was losing his golden touch.
My fellow gorehounds, please share with me some of your favorite classic horror movies that makes your skin crawl. Here's my short-list in no particular order:
The Exorcist
The Return of the Living Dead
The Hellraiser Series
The Living Dead Series
Audrey Rose
Re-Animator Series (yes, even Beyond Re-Animator for the end credits)
Evil Dead Series
Dead Alive
Low budget serial killer movies like Ed Gein (excellent), Gacy (I know you are but what am I?), Dahmer (very well done), Bundy (excellent film), Speck (not as well done as the others, but decent)...
