And so the transformation begins...
Oct. 27th, 2008 01:07 aminto old age. I've noticed the last several months that my vision is quickly becoming worse. Signs I once could read from quite a distance are now a blur. I pulled out the glasses I got after I had jaw surgery in late 2004--I new at the time really didn't need them but there was no explanation for why my vision was so bad with exception to the swelling pressing my optical nerve. The doc was convinced the swelling wouldn't impair my vision so he had me go have my eyes checked. Long story even longer, I ended up with glasses. After the swelling subsided around my cheeks and eyes I could see crystal clear again. I finally broke down tonight and put on the glasses I purchased early 2005. And, sadly, everything is clear now. Sadly, because I've always had superior vision and it sucks to have it degrade like this...
No offense to those who wear glasses, it was just one of those things I was quite pleased to not have to wear. And, it's not the glasses as much as just the fact I'm getting older and things are changing in my life so rapidly it keeps me in a tailspin.
